School ERP software that shows how your school is really doing
School MS is a complete school ERP: fees, payroll, transport, hostel and assets in one system, with reports that update themselves – so management decisions are based on today's numbers, not last month's spreadsheet.

Why schools move to an ERP
As a school grows, money flows through many hands – fee counters, transport, hostel, salaries, purchases. When each lives in a different book, nobody can answer simple questions quickly: How much is overdue? Which class collects worst? What does transport really cost us?
A school ERP puts every rupee in one system. Fees are collected against each student's plan, salaries come from payroll, bus fuel and repairs from the vehicle log and asset purchases from the asset register. The reports join them up automatically.
The ERP shares its records with the rest of School MS: fees come from the fee management module, every student’s history lives in the student information system, and results flow into report cards. To see the reports with your own numbers, book a free School MS demo.

Why Indian schools move from separate software to one school ERP
Many schools already have software – a fee program on the accountant's computer, a separate payroll sheet, a GPS dashboard from the bus vendor and a WhatsApp group per class. Each tool works on its own, but the principal still can't answer simple questions without asking three people: how much fee is overdue this month, what transport really costs, or whether the school is running at a surplus.
A school ERP connects these pieces. Fees, salaries, transport bills and asset spending sit in the same system as students and classes, so the management sees one set of numbers that is always up to date.
How School MS works as a cloud school ERP
Everything runs in the browser, so the principal can check the numbers from home or from a phone.
Fee accounts
Every student's plan, payments and balance; pending and overdue lists by class; Indian receipts with optional GST.
Payroll
Basic pay, allowances, bonus and deductions for each staff member, payslips prepared in one step, and paid / pending tracking.
Transport costs
Routes, buses and drivers, with a vehicle log for fuel and repair bills that feeds the reports.
Hostel
Hostels, rooms and beds with wardens and occupancy at a glance.
Assets
A register of the school's equipment and spending.
Revenue & ROI
Fees collected compared with salaries, transport and assets month by month – surplus, margin and cost per student.
Who uses the ERP, and what each person sees
The principal and management see dashboards and reports across the school. The accountant works in fees, payroll and transport bills. The office handles admissions and records. Teachers see their own classes, attendance and marks, and drivers see their bus and route.
Access is set by designation: each designation opens a chosen set of modules, view-only or with editing, so staff never see more than their job needs. When someone changes role, you change their designation and their access follows.
Questions to ask before choosing a school ERP
A short list for your evaluation.
| What to check | How School MS does it |
|---|---|
| One record per student | Does admission data flow into fees, attendance, exams and transport without retyping? |
| Real cost reports | Can you see salaries, transport and asset costs next to fee income? |
| Role-based access | Can you restrict modules by designation and make some view-only? |
| Cloud access | Can the management check reports securely from anywhere? |
| Indian receipts | Amount in words, payment reference and optional GST on the receipt? |
Cloud school ERP versus software on one office computer
Older school software is often installed on a single computer in the office. Reports can only be seen there, backups depend on someone remembering to copy files, and the principal has to ask for printouts. A cloud school ERP runs in the browser, so the principal, accountant and office work on the same live data from wherever they are, and teachers, parents and drivers use the mobile app.
For a growing school this also means no new installation when a staff member joins, and nothing to reinstall when a computer is replaced – they simply sign in with their own account and see what their designation allows.
School ERP software – FAQ
What is school ERP software?
School ERP (enterprise resource planning) software manages a school's resources in one system – students, fees, staff and payroll, transport, hostel, assets and reports – so the management can run the school on accurate, up-to-date numbers.
What modules should a school ERP have?
At least admissions and student records, fee management, attendance, exams and report cards, staff and payroll, transport, hostel, assets, communication with parents and reports. School MS includes all of these.
Can the ERP show profit and ROI?
Yes. The Revenue & ROI report compares fees collected with salaries, transport bills and asset spending month by month, with net surplus, margin and cost per student.
Is the data separate for each school?
Yes. Each school has its own separate space with its own users, settings, branding and WhatsApp number.
